Hanwha Q CELLS Limited Warranty for Crystalline PV Modules
- The Warranty Says
- “The warranties do not apply when the PV Modules are improperly installed, wired, maintained… or subjected to inappropriate maintenance… in non-conformance with Hanwha Q CELLS installation manual.”
- What It Means for You
- Maintenance must follow the Qcells installation manual and be done by qualified hands, or coverage is voided. Industrial grime that ordinary cleaning cannot remove is excluded too.
REC
REC Limited Warranty Certificate (Alpha series)

- “This Limited Warranty… does not apply to damage… caused by… abuse, misuse, accident, negligent acts… and/or not arising under normal operating conditions.”

Every membership includes annual solar panel cleaning, a visual panel and roof check, a photo report after every visit, priority scheduling, repair discounts and a lifetime service record. Silver adds a full electrical inspection, year-round production monitoring and post-storm production checks. Gold includes two panel cleanings a year, everything in Silver twice a year, a thermal hot-spot scan and a drone roof inspection.
Why does Solar Shield cost more than what I paid before?
Because it covers more. Before, you paid for a single cleaning visit. Solar Shield covers the whole year: scheduled service, documented inspections, repair discounts and Animal Guard warranties on Solar Scapes-installed guards, plus year-round monitoring and post-storm checks on Silver and Gold.
What does “lock in your rate for life” actually mean?
If you’re one of the first 300 members, the rate you’re quoted at signup never increases for as long as your membership stays active. Future price changes will never apply to you.
Are the listed prices what I’ll pay?
Bronze, Silver, and Gold start at $399, $599, and $999 per year. Most systems have 35 panels or fewer and qualify for the starting rate. Larger systems and roofs pitched 40° or more have annual adders. We’ll confirm your quote before you commit to anything.∆
Can I pay monthly?
Yes. Memberships renew automatically each year, and you can choose to pay monthly.
Can I still get solar panel repair in Kansas City if I don’t join?
Yes. Not joining doesn’t change your installation warranty’s terms, though most panel warranties still expect regular maintenance. Solar Scapes will still be here for solar panel repair at standard service rates, without member repair discounts, priority scheduling or monitoring.
What if my solar panels need repair between maintenance visits?
Members get priority scheduling and solar panel repair discounts of 10-30% by tier. Silver and Gold members are monitored, so we often spot issues before you do. Bronze includes one diagnostic visit a year, Silver includes two and Gold includes three; materials are extra. Priority scheduling is 72 hours for Bronze, 48 hours for Silver and 24 hours for Gold.
Does my Animal Guard warranty require a membership?
The 5-year (Bronze), 10-year (Silver), and lifetime (Gold) Animal Guard warranties require Solar Scapes-installed guards and an active membership in good standing.
